Networking isn’t about making money
Networking is about people and building relationships
- Prepare – marketing material / name badge / business cards and your elevator speech – template sent with your welcome email – if not contact us /come with an objective
- Come early and leave late –
- Work the room – group demo (when approaching a group) and when you want to leave – it was really nice to meet you I’m just going to see someone I wanted to connect with.....getting a drink etc
- Act like the host and not the guest – welcome new people
- Circle of Influence - ask us for more info.
- Sit next to someone you don’t know (remember their name)
- Book a meeting at your meeting -
- Have Fun!
- Follow up after the networking events – emails, catch ups, social media etc
- Be more proactive – invite clients to attend events / book trade tables / online forum / member profile / newsletter articles / 45 FREE business health check session / social media shout outs.
